How to Display Small Artwork in Your Home
Small artwork is a joy to have around your home. Tiny art can warm up a plethora of interior spaces, shining with their own personality. They can also help bring the perfect home color palette together. I am a fan of filling a home with fine art and I love it when they can add a little light to a nook or corner.
How to Display small Art
First, consider if you are going to keep your small fine artwork in a frame, or display it unframed. If you choose a frame, you can antique a frame the exact artwork size and frame it edge to edge or find a frame close in size and mount the artwork on a matte board. If you are mounting the artwork, be sure to use acid-free tape to avoid artwork discoloring. Visual on this below.

I am a big fan of this small artwork nestled onto hanging shelves. It sets the mood of the objects surrounding it and let’s you get lost in a place. This is a good example of artwork that is mounted, but not framed.
Sometimes your home is full of windows and there isn’t much space for artwork. Small artwork can be the perfect way to add the look and feel of large art. This artwork is both matted and framed.
This is another small wall next to a window. I like that the small artwork provides height, while being grounded with the bookshelf. This fine artwork is mounted in an antiqued frame and available in my shop!
The kitchen is another space I love hiding little artwork gems. Shelves are a great way to include artwork without the fear of it getting ruined. This work of art is left both unframed and un-matted.
The ideas for displaying small artwork are endless. Get creative and use the joy of fine art to bring warmth to the little pockets in your home. For more inspiration, visit my Pinterest board Living With Art
